The rule underneath the rules

The person on the other side opened this site for a conversation with a stranger, the same as you did. Everything below follows from treating that as real.

foxvideochat is a general-audience service. That is not a soft preference — it decides what is allowed here.

What gets you removed

Nudity or sexual content

Any form, on either side of the camera, including when both people agree to it. This is the line that is enforced most often and there is no version of it that is fine.

Anything involving a minor

Including presenting yourself as one, or attempting to engage with someone who appears to be one. Reported immediately and referred where appropriate.

Harassment and hate

Threats, slurs, sexual harassment, or targeting someone for their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality.

Recording other people

Capturing or redistributing another person without their knowledge. We cannot technically prevent it; we can and do remove people for it.

Scams and spam

Money requests, investment pitches, links to other services, or repeating a script at everyone you match with.

Impersonation

Claiming to be a specific real person, or to represent us.

Illegal activity

Anything unlawful where you are, including selling regulated goods.

The grey areas, answered

Questions that come up often enough to be worth answering directly:

• Swearing is not against the rules. Aiming it at someone is.
• Flirting is not against the rules. Sexual content is, and the difference is not subtle in practice.
• Being shirtless is judged on context and intent, the same way it would be in any public place.
• Talking about difficult subjects is allowed. Using them to upset someone is not.
• Promoting your own channel or profile to every match is spam, even when it is not a scam.

What you can do in the moment

Skip

Ends it instantly, for both sides. No reason required and the other person is not told one. Use it freely — it is not rude and it is not a complaint.

Block

Permanent. That person is never matched with you again.

Report

Goes to moderation. Use it when something broke the rules, not merely when a conversation was dull.

Skipping first and reporting after is the right order. Get out, then tell us.

What happens after a report

Moderation runs around the clock and reads reports. Depending on what happened, the outcome is a warning, a suspension, or permanent removal. Serious cases — particularly anything involving a minor or a credible threat — may be referred to the appropriate authorities.

We do not tell you what action was taken against another person. That is their account and not your business, and publishing enforcement detail mostly teaches people how to avoid it.

If you think we got it wrong

Enforcement is done by people and people make mistakes. Write to us through contact, say what happened and roughly when, and it gets looked at again. A calm account of the situation helps considerably more than an angry one.
